Over the past three weeks I have began the process of revamping an model of mine. The largest issue in the original scene was the lack of 'things' strewn about. The Vanity table had little to no makeup items, containers, boxes, pieces, dust, smudges, etc. Walls were rather barren and needed life sewn into the fibres of the creation.

Old Vanity Room

With that in mind it was clear to see the room needed to be revitalized. It had to feel natural, organic, and lived in rather than sparse, and never touched.

The first week was remodelling the Vanity Room (VR), adding more makeup, pillows, a new shelf, added paintings, and so on. Even the shelf that could be added to "Generic Assets Weekly" was removed and swapped with something a bit more, inviting. Each piece began to add their own story to the environment whether it was a small stick of eyeliner tossed on the counter, or skin care neatly set together. The VR was beginning to feel as if someone did truly lived in and used everyday. Rather than a set piece for a home show or owned by someone exceptionally minimalist or "Spartan". With two weeks in on the scene I could begin texturing, maintaining the colours of the vanity table was something I wished to achieve but everything else could use a fresh coat of paint. The red walls were replaced with a nice cream dry brush, The new shoe rack now a deep and vibrantly stained maple colour. Makeup palettes no longer one flat colour/tone but with vibrant colours, designs, and alphas. Each piece with it's own visual flare yet still balanced and melded together.

In the coming weeks the model have the full textures, each piece will have its placed set and then lighting can begin
